Helping communities to lead and transform their developments needs into sustainable empowerment actions

The Sojourner Foundation would like your help in raising US$25,000 on the GlobalGiving crowdfunding platform. These funds will help us to run our youth farming and leadership project on Kamp Deed, our beautiful space in Turners Hall, St. Andrew, Barbados. Using a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) curriculum on an agricultural platform, our aim is to empower young people to lead and transform their own communities.

Each cohort of students will be taken through the 6-week project, during which they will learn about permaculture and sustainable farming techniques, they will plant, market and sell crops, build with natural materials, work with solar technology, engage in creative arts and culinary arts, learn basic bookkeeping and much more! We are also rolling out a virtual programme in which the students can participate via Zoom meetings and grow crops in their own backyards.

Please support us by donating and sharing this link so that we can meet our financial target and continue in our efforts to develop future leaders.

Giving thanks for your contribution!
