SUMMARY:The Bodily Autonomy Institute: A Disabled & Trans Perspective
DESCRIPTION:Join Funders for Justice\, The Disability Project\, Third Wave Fund and The Disability & Philanthropy Forum as we explore the intersections of disability justice\, reproductive justice\, and trans rights in the face of rising fascist attacks. This series will delve into the history and impact of eugenics on anti-trans policies and reproductive rollbacks\, and the role of systemic ableism in undermining bodily autonomy. Through political education and small group discussions\, we’ll build strategies to counter these attacks and expands philanthropy’s capacity to support  organizing efforts addressing this ableist assault on self-determination.

DESCRIPTION:In her thought-provoking article\, Esther Saehyun Lee boldly challenges the status quo of the nonprofit sector\, writing\, “I am an imposter. I don’t belong in the nonprofit sector—as it is. I refuse to subscribe to the values of white saviorism\, colonialism\, donor worship\, poverty tourism\, and the self-congratulatory attitude of ‘doing good.'” In this discussion\, Esther\, Vu Le (author of the popular Nonprofit AF blog)\, and Aleeka Morgan (WFN Member; director of Nurturing Wāhine Fund) will explore key themes from Lee’s article and delve into the experience of imposter syndrome within the nonprofit space.
